Villarreal kick off their LaLiga Promises Internacional tournament tomorrow

The Submarine’s U13s team will face Sevilla, Liverpool and Espanyol in the group stage

Villarreal’s youth players will once again take part in a great event that they will remember for the rest of their lives. The XXVI LaLiga Promises Internacional tournament starts tomorrow in Maspalomas, Gran Canaria. The best teams will be on the island for three days, with the Yellows U13s being drawn alongside Sevilla, Liverpool and Espanyol in the group stage.

The team coached by Fernando Rueda and Carlos Bou will have to adapt to 7-a-side football in the format of this competition after playing in the 11-a-side league all season and coming from the 8-a-side league in the Region of Valencia, unlike the early stages in other autonomous communities, such as the Canary Islands themselves, where only seven players from each team are on the pitch.
