A spectacular Yellow Cup Easter comes to an end

The competition now has ten new champions after a weekend of youth football action

The Yellow Cup Easter, the youth football tournament organised by Villarreal CF and Endeka Esports, ended in style with the finals being played on Sunday in a competition that attracted the best national and international talents.

A total of 224 teams competed for the title in their respective categories. EDO Sports Japan (Japan), Liverpool FC and Borussia Dortmund are clear examples of high-calibre international clubs that did not want to miss out on this great event. Likewise, important Spanish football schools such as Real Madrid and Barcelona took part in an award-winning tournament hosted by Villarreal CF.

After an intense qualifying phase, the José Manuel Llaneza Training Ground hosted the finals of each age group on Sunday. Villarreal CF were proclaimed champions in the U14s age group after beating EFB Alcázar 3-0 in the final.

Étienne Capoue, Nico Jackson and Ramón Terrats, luxury visitors

Villarreal CF players Étienne Capoue, Nico Jackson and Ramón Terrats were present at the first day of the Yellow Cup Easter. After Friday’s training session, prior to the match against Real Madrid, the yellow idols went to the youth football pitches to meet the participants, who were excited to take a photo and get a signed postcard from the three Submarine players.

An unforgettable party at the Estadio de la Cerámica

The Yellow Cup Easter gave the participating teams the opportunity to enjoy the match between Villarreal B and Málaga CF.

In addition, the participating teams had the chance to visit the most exclusive areas of the Estadio de la Cerámica: the press room, the dugouts, the changing rooms and the most exciting thing: the pitch of one of the fields where LaLiga Santander matches and the most prestigious European competitions are played.

In addition, the Yellows organised other activities outside of the competition itself, such as the opening party, the welcome reception, attractions at the different campuses and the spectacular closing ceremony.
