The Canarian attacker extends his ties with Villarreal to continue growing as a yellow
Villarreal CF have reached an agreement with Yeremy Pino to extend his contract, with the player staying tied to the Yellows until 30th June 2027. The Canarian forward, whose contract ended in 2024, has extended his links to the club for three further seasons. The act signing of the new contract was attended by president Fernando Roig at the El Ceramista restaurant.
The teenager will appear alongside the president this Tuesday, at 1pm CET, in an event open exclusively to the press, which will take place in the Preferencia stand at the Estadio de la Cerámica (access by Gate 31).
Yeremy Pino joined the Villarreal academy aged just 14. Since then, the talented forward has grown progressively until becoming one of the best young players on the planet.
The emergence of Yeremy Pino
In little more than a year, Yeremy Pino has exploded onto the football scene with Villarreal CF. Through hard work and great performances, the academy product has earned the trust of Unai Emery and has become a crucial footballer for the first team, having now played 53 games and scored a total of nine goals.
In his first campaign as a first-team player, he won the 2020/21 UEFA Europa League, becoming the youngest player in history to lift the prestigious continental trophy, aged just 18 years and 218 days.
His impressive performances with Villarreal CF opened the doors to a call-up to the Spain squad. Aged just 18, Yeremy made his debut with ‘La Roja’ on 6th October in the win over Italy (1-2) at the San Siro.
He is also nominated for the Golden Boy Award, given by Italian newspaper Tuttosport to the best under-21 player in the world.
