The young forward signs for the Yellow Submarine from Valencia CF
Villarreal CF have reached an agreement with Elena Gil to sign for the club, in a deal that strengthens Villarreal Women’s attack for the new season in Primera RFEF.
A breath of fresh air for the attack
Elena Gil Garrido (14/01/2004, La Pobla de Vallbona, Valencia) progressed through the youth system at Atlétic Vallbonense, her local club, and then Valencia CF, where she arrived in the 2020/21 season. That season, as an 18-year-old, she made 18 appearances in the second division and scored two goals.
The following season, she made her first-team debut in the league fixture against Real Sociedad. The 2022/23 season saw her find the back of the net four times in 24 matches in Segunda RFEF, the third tier of Spanish football, as she also played four matches with the first team. Last season, she made 13 appearances for Valencia CF.
