Villarreal supports the fifth edition of the Juegos Castellonenses

The club is collaborating with this unique competition for senior citizens in the province of Castellón through Endavant Província

Villarreal CF is collaborating with the 5th edition of the Juegos Castellonenses, a multi-sports and recreational competition for older adults in the province of Castellón, which will take place in 23 towns and villages in the province.

Almenara, Alcalá de Xivert, Burriana, la Vall d’Uixó, L’Alcora, Artana, Alqueries, Torreblanca, Les Useres, Vinaròs, Almassora, Castellón, Montanejos, Montán, Cirat, Arañuel, Cortes de Arenoso, Puebla de Arenoso, Morella, Vilafamés, Benicarló, Betxí and Vila-real are the venues for this original competition, which this season is being promoted by Villarreal CF.

The club’s collaboration is part of the Endavant Província initiative, part of the sustainability and CSR project, which aims to promote tourism in the municipalities of Castellón, seeking to boost economic and cultural activity in the province.

The Juegos Castellonenses aim to create a space for friendship, integration, socialisation, learning and fun in a healthy sporting and cultural competition through traditional games and which provides the opportunity to improve the quality of life, physical and emotional health of the elderly.

This fun competition is divided into two main areas: a sporting one consisting of five disciplines (adapted pentathlon, petanque, hiking, paddle tennis and choreography) and another of traditional games, which includes card games, ball toss, dominoes and singing.
