The B team give a footballing lesson to Sevilla Atlético, beating them comfortably to stay top of the table

Villarreal B overcame Sevilla Atlético (5-1) on Sunday afternoon at the Mini Estadi. The leaders of the Primera RFEF Footters Group 2 continue to be unstoppable, dominating for the entirety of the 90 minutes against the Andalusian side, giving them a football lesson and restricting them from having many chances.

Miguel Álvarez’s side started quickly, with rapid combinations trying to bring the two attackers up front, Nicolas Jackson and Juan Carlos Arana, into the game, with passes in behind. The game already was against Sevilla Atlético in the secnod minute, with Aspar being sent off for pulling back Arana when he went through on the goalkeeper. From the free-kick, Adrián De La Fuente scored the first goal of the game, with a shot just inside the near post that Pastor, with his vision blocked, was unable to get to.

Nikita Iosifov had a chance to get another a minute later, but Pastor sent the ball out for a corner, from which Carlo Adriano could have scored a header. Nikita, who was heavily involved in the final third, fell in the box moments later, but the referee decided that there was not contact. It was the Russian who scored the second goal, capitalising on a perfect pass by Jackson, who did not give up to get on the end of a ball that looked like it was going out of play.

Before half-time, Arana sealed the win with a great goal, chipping the away goalkeeper to round off a perfect half for the Mini Submarine. After the break, the Yellows tried to defend their lead by keeping the ball and dominating the game, although Sevilla Atlético pushed forward and had more chances.

The away side got a goal back through Pablo Pérez, but the Yellows immediately responded with substitutes Alex Forés and Diego Collado putting the cherry on the top of a perfect game. Next game for Villarreal B will be an away trip to Betis Deportivo on Saturday 16th October at 7pm CEST:
