The Yellows B team ended the game against Los Che with a late goal (1-1)
Villarreal B ended the match against Valencia Mestalla feeling that they could have had more (1-1). The Yellows got a point against the Valencian side in a game where Miguel Álvarez’s side were on top in the first half and fought back from the away team’s goal, which came early on in the second half. A Facu own goal, after a Haissem Hassan ball into the box, was the equaliser and gave the game a fairer score.
The first half was dominated by the Yellows, especially early on. Villarreal B had a clear chance in the 14th minute, after a great attacking transition, which ended with an Ahn shot, going just wide of Unai’s goal.
The game was goalless at the break. The second half was different to the first. In the 52nd minute, a great piece of play by Jesús Vázquez set up José David, who, with a bit of fortune, was able to beat Filip Jorgensen from the edge of the box to make it 0-1 on the scoreboard.
Yellows head coach Álvarez looked to the bench to try and get an equaliser, bringing on various attacking players. The match entered in a moment with a lot of interruptions, and Villarreal B had various chances to try and draw level. The goal finally came in the 88th minute, when Hassan used his quality to get past a defender and put a cross into the box which Facu ended up putting into his own net. In what was left of the game, Villarreal B looked to get the winner, but the game ended 1-1.
