The Yellows will finish LaLiga in fifth position and return to the second-biggest continental competition, which they won in 2021

Villarreal have played a total of 127 games in the UEFA Europa League: 91 in the new format and 36 in the previous format, known as the UEFA Cup. In total, the balance of matches is 73 wins, 30 draws and 24 defeats. Bruno Soriano is the player with the most appearances in this competition (55 matches) and Giuseppe Rossi, the top scorer (16 goals). Of the current squad, they are closely followed by Manu Trigueros, with 53 appearances, and Gerard Moreno, with 15 goals.
