The Yellows are in Europe, Asia and America for tryouts and camps throughout the summer
Through the Villarreal Academy international expansion project, Villarreal CF is able to impact communities with the club’s methodology, values and culture all over the world. This summer, the Yellows have already sent coaches to over ten of the club’s partner academies for their annual tryouts and are holding summer camps in several locations. In this way, the club continues to spread its unique methodology far and wide as well as identify talented players across the globe, some of whom are selected to come to Villarreal CF to participate in the Player Training Week.
Villarreal Academy’s co-ordinators and coaches work on a daily basis with the international partner academies and affiliate clubs online. However, this summer, they have travelled to support the academies in person with the player selection process at their tryouts, coach education sessions as well as holding camps.
Villarreal Virginia Academy, Villarreal Nebraska Academy, Villarreal Force Academy, Villarreal North Texas Academy, Villarreal Houston Academy, Villarreal Indiana Academy, Villarreal Las Vegas Academy, Provo Athletic Club and Villarreal Montreal Academy are the academies that have held tryouts to recruit new players this summer.
What’s more, from May to August, Villarreal Academy holds camps with the club’s partner academies and various clubs around the world. So far, Villarreal CF has been in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (Villarreal Malaysia Talent ID Camp); Afula, Israel (Villarreal Israel ID Camp); Riga, Latvia (Villarreal CF Riga Summer Camp); Brandon, MB, Canada (Brandon United FC & Villarreal CF Soccer Camp); and will soon head to Vancouver, BC, Canada (VanCity Pro FA & Villarreal CF Camp); Erie, USA (Villarreal ID Camp with Erie Sports Center), Pattaya, Thailand (Villarreal Thailand Summer Camp) and Ancaster, ON, Canada (Villarreal CF & Ancaster Legacy FC Selection Camp 2023).
