The users of the Autism Centre went to the Training Ground to visit their friends from the Yellows Academy

The Endavant Igualtat initiative is searching to create a relationship between various charities and young Villarreal CF footballers. Through this project, the Yellows try to give a voice to different social causes with the aim of mutual benefits, both for the Yellows Academy players, as well as for the members of the entities. One of the most representative examples of this activity is the strong friendship that unites our U17 (Juvenil B) players and members of the CAU centre.

The CAU centre is a not-for-profit organisation, with the aim to improve the quality of people on the autism spectrum, as well as their families. The latest one of those activities carried out between the U17s and CAU was a complete success, with the members of the centre being able to visit the Training Ground. They had perfect guides, Villarreal CF youth players, those from the U17 side, who perfectly showed them around where they carryout their daily activities.

The Mini Estadi, the dressing rooms, the dormitories, the gym, the games area, and different training pitches were all seen by the CAU members. The visit was also supervised by the U17s coaching staff, who were present throughout the whole of the Endavant Igualtat activity. The coaches offered a more professional and personal vision of what happens at the Training Ground and its different areas.

That wasn’t the end of the activity though, and once the tour was over, everyone met in the games area, where they could share fun moments playing table football and board games. Before the day was over, the CAU members and U17s players had a snack in the dormitories. That was the perfect way to end a great afternoon between friends, who are now like family.

This relationship, born within the Endavant Igualtat initiative, started many months ago. The first meeting between the two parties took place at the CAU facilities. It was the first point of contact for both groups and was the start of a great friendship. What’s more, in this first activity, there was a dance teacher involved, who made everyone involved have a great time. It was a different day and one that helped both parties get out of the daily routine.

Finally, another one of the activities the two parties carried out was planting a number of crops. This allowed both groups to work together and get to know each other better, to help increase the good relationship between them. A friendship that will surely continue to grow stronger.
