The Yellows Academy side will face Atlético Madrid, Benfica and New York City in the group stages of this international competition
The U12s (Alevín A) are now on American soil. The Yellows outfit is ready to give their all in the fifth Internacional LaLiga Promises tournament, one of the most prestigious competitions in youth football worldwide. The tournament, which will get underway on Friday and will take place throughout the weekend has placed Villarreal CF in Group B, alongside Atlético Madrid, Benfica and New York City, who will be their opponents in the first round.
The fifth Internacional LaLiga Promises Santander 2019 tournament, which will be at the Sinatra Park Soccer Field in New Jersey for the third year in a row, will bring together a large number of the best football academies in the world. As well as Spanish sides, represented by RCD Espanyol, Atlético Madrid, FC Barcelona, Real Betis, Real Madrid, Sevilla FC, Valencia CF and Villarreal CF, the competition will also see the participation of Hoboken City, who will act as hots, and will be accompanied by their neighbours from New York City. Furthermore, FC Inter, SL Benfica, Liverpool FC, as well as Mexican sides Guadalajara and Club América and Chinese side Guangzhou R&F, making their debut in the prestigious competition.
The tournament will be made up of 16 times, divided into four groups of four sides. In each group, every team will face each other in a mini league with matches of two halves of 12 minutes each half. The two top teams in each group will advance to the quarter-finals. The semi-finals and the final will be made up of two halves of 20 minutes, and will decide the champion of the fifth Internacional LaLiga Promises tournament.

Group B
- Atlético Madrid vs Villarreal CF: Friday 28th June, at 4:30pm.
- Villarreal CF vs New York City: Friday 28th June, at 6pm.
- Villarreal CF vs Benfica: Saturday 29th June, at 3:30pm.
