Vice President José Manuel Llaneza praised the agreement reached with the Festival Internacional de Benicàssim

At midday today the presentation event for the birth of the ‘Endavant Cultura’ initiative took place and Villarreal CF Vice President, José Manuel Llaneza, highlighted the importance that the agreement with the Festival Internacional de Benicàssim has had to help launch this initiative. For the Yellows Board of Directors, the club is already present in all other important aspects in the Castellón province: “It’s satisfying to do this presentation. For me, there are six important aspects to the Castellón province: the University (Universitat Jaume I), the Castellón Airport, the citrus fruits, the ceramic industry, Villarreal CF and the only one missing for us to have direct contact with was the FIB. Villarreal is present in all the important facets of the province thus this agreement is even more important and one which I hope will serve to unite sports and culture”.

The presentation event was celebrated at midday today in the Press Room at the Villarreal CF Training Ground (Ciudad Deportiva) and was attended by Villarreal CF Vice President, José Manuel Llaneza, footballer, Jaume Costa, FIB delegate, Claudia Castellanos, and singer, Ruth Baker, from the Castellón group the ‘Ruth Baker Band’.

Llaneza was also enthusiastic about the charity match that will take place due to the club’s collaboration with the FIB, which will be participated in by club representatives, artists from the FIB and members of the press that usually cover the Festival Internacional de Benicàssim, and will be played at Villarreal CF’s sporting facilities: “We would like the charity match to be played at a Villarreal CF facility. That would be really nice”.

Jaume Costa (Villarreal CF footballer): “The players support this initiative”

Jaume Costa attended the presentation event on behalf of the Villarreal CF First Team squad. The left back supported the agreement: “To connect important events from the province with Villarreal is really important. The players fully support this series of initiatives. I hope to be able to go to the FIB one day as everyone says it’s brilliant”.

Claudia Castellanos (FIB delegate): “It is an honour to be united with Villarreal CF”

For her part, FIB delegate, Claudia Castellanos, wanted to show her appreciation to the club and predicted a spectacular festival: “I just want to say thank you to Villarreal CF. It is an honour for us to join Villarreal’s commitment which goes beyond sport. On behalf of the FIB we want Endavant Cultura to grow further from our involvement”.

Ruth Baker (Singer from the Ruth Baker Band): “It’s wonderful to participate in the FIB”

Ruth Baker, singer from the Castellón music group, the Ruth Baker Band, also attended the event. She also praised the agreement and promised that she and her band will give their all on the stage: “It’s a pleasure to participate in the FIB. For us it’s just amazing. It has been really good news, without a doubt. We want to showcase our music and enjoy it”. Ruth Baker said she doesn’t follow football much, but expressed “admiration” for all Villarreal CF is achieving.
