Two Villarreal CF teams were champions at the spectacular tournament that involved more than 1,450 players
Villarreal CF had a great weekend in the Yellow Cup Summer 2021. Two teams from the Yellows Academy were champions of the spectacular tournament played at the magnificent Villarreal CF facilities. What’s more, two Villarreal teams were runners-up and three Yellows players received the MVP and top goalscorer trophies.
The U12s and the girls’ U16 teams lifted the #YellowCupSummer21 trophy. The U10s, U16s and girls’ U12s finished as runners-up. What’s more, Balma Villamarín (girls’ U12s) came away from the tournament with the MVP trophy, while players Lucía Romero (girls’ U16s) and Óscar Albiol (U12s) were top goalscorers.
In terms of Endeka Sports’ selected teams, Gerard Moreno’s team finished in first place in the U8 and U10 age groups. For their part, Raúl Albiol and Pau Torres’ teams finished in second and third place respectively.
The successful international youth tournament, organised by Villarreal CF and Endeka Sports, brought together more than 1,450 players from a total of 62 teams participating in the present edition. Among them two international teams competed, International Prospect Academy and FC Tecnico, in addition to several national teams, such as Fundación Marcet Football, Elda Unión CF, Seseña CF, CP Sarrià, CD El Valle, FB CF Santo Domingo and SCR Peña Deportiva.
