The Yellows won two matches and drew another in the second phase of the competition
Villarreal CF’s intellectually-disabled team (EDI) put in an impressive performance during the second stage of LaLiga Genuine, which took place in Seville at the weekend. The Yellows beat UD Las Palmas (2-1) and CA Osasuna (3-1) and drew against RC Deportivo la Coruña (1-1). The next base of the competition will be Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (27th-29th March).
The competition is played as an eight-a-side tournament, in matches with four quarters, each lasting ten minutes. LaLiga Genuine doesn’t only count the sporting results, but also the positive sporting actions shown during the match. Each matchday, teams will get points rewarding sporting behaviour, and fair play from players, fans and coaches.
