The Yellows Academy lost to Real Madrid in a very even semi-final clash (1-0)

Villarreal U12s just missed out on getting to the final of the III International Tournament LaLiga Promises in New Jersey after falling in the semi-finals to Real Madrid (1-0). The Yellows had the majority of the posession, but the whites were more clinical. In fact, Enrique Herrero hit the post in what was Villarreal’s best chance of the match, meanwhile Real Madrid did finish with a goal by Hugo. The Yellows reached the semi-finals after finishing third in Group C and knocking out Atlético Madrid in the quarter-finals of the tournament.  

Award for ‘Best coaching staff’

Despite not getting to the final, Villarreal did pick up a trophy in New Jersey. The coaching staff of Ferran Arderiu, Carlos Pallarés, Pablo Cañada and Santiago Pina were chosen as the best of the tournament.
