Villarreal B beat CD Mirandés and get their first three points at home thanks to goals from Dela, Migue Leal and Ojeda
Victory for Villarreal B at the Mini Estadi (3-0). The Yellows overcame CD Mirandés in a match that was affected by the sending off of Alex Martín in the 12th minute. Miguel Álvarez’s side were able to take advantage of their numerical superiority to control the game and take control of the match. Goals from Adrian de la Fuente, Migue Leal and Thiago Ojeda helped the Mini Submarine to their first three points at home.

To do so, the team went out to press CD Mirandés and in the 12th minute the game was put in their favour after the sending off of centre-back Alex Martín. After this, the visiting coach, Joseba Etxeberria, took off one of his attacking players and introduced a defender. Villarreal B took advantage and stepped up a gear, but although the chances came and went, the goal did not arrive until the 44th minute: Sergio Lozano took a short corner for Dani Tasende, who gave it back to the Yellows No.21 who put it into the heart of the box and made it possible for Dela to head the ball in for the Mini Submarine before the break.
The second half started with Miguel Álvarez deciding to give Rodri Alonso his first minutes in LaLiga SmartBank, replacing Carlo Adriano who went off with with a knock. At the start of the second half, Villarreal B were more energetic and desperately sought the opposition goal. Their persistence was rewarded with two goals. The second came in the 76th minute when Del Moral saw Miguel Leal’s fabulous run behind the defence, he played the ball through and the defender scored from close range to make it 2-0. The Mini Submarine didn’t slow down and the chances continued until the third goal came after a fabulous strike by Thiago Ojeda, who dinked it past the CD Mirandés goalkeeper in the 89th minute. After this win, Villarreal B will travel to the Ciutat de València to face Levante UD on Saturday 10th September at 9pm CEST.
