Villarreal B put in a great performance, but were unable to get a point

Villarreal B were unable to get a point in their visit to the Johan Cruyff Stadium (3-2). The Yellows went head to head with FC Barcelona B in a high tempo game, full of intensity and a number of alternatives for both sides.

The culés went ahead before the 15-minute mark through Konrad. In the second half they went ahead with an exceptional Collado free-kick (56’).

The Yellows reacted spectacularly. Straight after the second goal from the home side, Villarreal B cut one back with a great Juan Carlos Arana goal. Ten minutes later, the referee pointed to the penalty spot after Copete pulled Peque in the box. Manaj stepped up and scored.

Despite it being 3-1, the Yellows didn’t give up, and got back into the game through an Álex Millán goal, after an Antonio Pacheco pass. Miguel Álvarez’s side looed for the equaliser until the last minute, but were unable to do so.
