Talent and hard work to beat Alcorcón
Talent and hard work to beat Alcorcón

Miguel Álvarez believes that by adding these two factors together they can win this Saturday at 9pm CEST

Villarreal B head coach, Miguel Álvarez, appeared at the press conference prior to the match against AD Alcorcón, corresponding to Matchday 8 of LALIGA Hypermotion, which will take place this Saturday at 9pm CEST at the Estadio de la Cerámica.

The team’s current situation

“The team is great in all aspects, both physically and mentally. Besides, we are always happy with the work we are doing, so after winning, even more so.”

The opposition

It’s a match like any other. All the teams, regardless of their level, are very competitive. Alcorcón have taken four points from three away games, at grounds like Valladolid. They’ve done more than what the points suggest. Their strengths appear away from home. I expect a match, that we continue to grow, as we do week after week.”

Level

“We have a lot of room for improvement because, for example, we still have a lot of things to do without the ball. That can only be achieved by improving individually. The sum of all of them is what makes us better. We’re at a good level at home, but away we’ve been too easy and that’s something we need to improve. At home we’ve played all three games we’ve played. We need to control things that are basic.”

A good level at home

“We have a lot of talent and when we work hard, things work out. There are players like Forés and Jorge, who are making the most of it. Up front we have a very good level. We’re on the way to bringing it all together: to be stronger defensively and as a result we’ll have a better feeling.”

Fans

“Give them a message to play good football. This week I read that there are lots of teenagers that are going to come and cheer, that they are worth a few more. I think it’s great news for the team because they support us a lot.”
