Miguel Álvarez underlined that the Catalan side are a team who are extremely strong at home

Villarreal B head coach Miguel Álvarez appeared in front of the media this lunchtime to analyse the upcoming match against Nàstic de Tarragona at the Nou Estadi (Sunday, 12pm CET).

The Mini Submarine boss underlined that the Yellows need to be demanding and show personality to get a good result from their visit to the Nou Estadi: “We accept the challenge of showing personality in tough stadiums and against rivals of a lot of quality such as Nàstic. We need to step up a level because of how much the games away from home demand from us to stop our opponents capitalising on their potential and putting us in dangerous situations.”

He remembered the difficult visit to Tarragona last season: “We suffered there recently. It’s a great stadium where there is always a brilliant atmosphere. It’s a very difficult place to play. When you go with young players to stadiums that are tough to play in against teams that are hard to face, you need to be intense and stay focused from start to end. They’re a really strong team, a team that have been put together to be towards the top of the table.”

Finally, the coach highlighted how he was pleased to get a number of footballers back from injuries: “We were missing a number of important players in recent weeks and the team felt that. We wanted to have the same ideas but with different players and it didn’t work. We have to reinvent ourselves a bit to try and correct the negative run and become a recognisable team once more. Getting players like Lozano and Jackson back is a luxury. They’re important players for us.”
