The ‘xiquet del poble’ has reached the 100-game mark with the Villarreal CF first team
Pau Torres is now a Villarreal CF centenarian. The defender from Vila-real reached 100 games with the Yellows first team with the UEFA Champions League this Tuesday against Young Boys at the Estadio de la Cerámica.
Formed in the Yellows Academy, the ‘xiquet del poble’ has played a total of 77 games in LaLiga, 10 in the UEFA Europa League, eight in the Copa del Rey, four in the UEFA Champions League and one in the UEFA Super Cup.
Pau Torres joins the club of Yellows centenarians
After the match against the Swiss side, Pau Torres has joined the club of Yellows centenarians. Mario Gaspar (413), Manu Trigueros (392), Sergio Asenjo (253), Moi Gómez (197), Gerard Moreno (193), Samu Chukwueze (125) and Alfonso Pedraza (104) are the players in the current Villarreal CF squad who have played more than 100 games for the first team.
