The competition now has ten new champions in a weekend celebrating youth football
The Yellow Cup Easter, organised by Villarreal CF and Endeka Sports, was a huge success, with more than 15,000 people in attendance, including 150 teams and more than 15,000 young talents.
There was international presence from EDO Sports Japan (Japan) and International Prospect Academy (USA), the competition also saw big clubs from across Spain such as Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, Real Sociedad and Sevilla FC taking part. A total of 56 took part in a great show of youth football, hosted by Villarreal CF.
On Sunday, the Miralcamp Training Ground hosted the final for each age group, with each set of champions being crowned. Villareal CF won the girls’ U12 competitions. The Yellows also finished second in the boys’ U12s and U18s. Ambassador and former captain Marcos Senna presented each team with their trophy.
Lo Celso and Iborra, special guests
Villarreal CF footballers Giovani Lo Celso and Vicente Iborra didn’t want to miss the Yellow Cup Easter. After Friday’s training session, ahead of the game against Getafe CF, the first-team players went to meet those taking part, with the participants getting a signed photograph from both players. A special memory.
