The Yellows midfielder reached the impressive number of games for the Villarreal CF first team

Manu Trigueros has reached the 400-game mark for Villarreal after playing against Atlético Sanluqueño in the Copa del Rey. The midfielder has become the third player in the club’s history to reach the quadruple century for the Yellows, after Bruno Soriano (425) and Mario Gaspar (416).

He has scored 31 goals and provided 34 assists for the Yellows. The 400 games for Trigueros break down in the following way: 273 in LaLiga, 53 in the UEFA Europa League, 37 in Segunda División, 29 in the Copa del Rey, seven in the UEFA Champions League and one in the UEFA Super Cup.

Trigueros, a Villarreal legend

Manu Trigueros will go down in Villarreal CF history. He joined the youth set up in the summer of 2010. After playing for the C team and then the B team, the midfielder stepped up to the first team in the 2012/13 season, when the Submarine were in Segunda División. He has become an important player for the Yellows, being an important part of the club’s success. On the 26th May, Trigueros earned his biggest achievement of his career, playing as Villarreal CF lifted the UEFA Europa League.
