The Villarreal manager values the team’s hard work after the point earned against Eibar
Villarreal manager Luis García appeared in front of the media to analyse the draw obtained by the Yellows against SD Eibar at Ipurúa: “They were a hardworking, intense team to face, and they made things difficult for us. We have come away with a point, but we could have won or lost the match. The two teams had enough clear chances to come away with the win. We came with the idea of heading home with three points, but that isn’t always possible.”
Furthermore, the head coach values his team’s improvement: “Every day, the team is getting better in the system and competing better. This stadium was a hard place to play in. They push you back in your own box, they throw a lot of balls at you and it’s difficult to play out from the back. Despite that, we competed very well on a physical level, and the feelings I get from the team is that they are capable of winning matches. We are making small steps forward, but we need to show what they are worth with victories.”
