This fan from Norway dreams of watching a Villarreal game live

Julian, an educator, has been following Villarreal CF since 2005, for nearly 16 years now. When asked why he follows the Yellow Submarine, despite the distance, he explained. “I support Villarreal because they’re a family club, who look after their community, and they make people who live thousands of miles away, like me, feel included.”

Another factor that made Julian fall in love with Villarreal was the faith of the team to turn around tough situations, such as the relegation in 2012. “You discover how much a club means for you when you see them fight against adversity. Seasons like that made me appreciate my love for the club, which grew even stronger,” admitted Julian.

This fan from Norway tries not to miss a single match. “I watch every game at home, either live or delayed,” he said, adding that he has never been able to visit the stadium, but he hopes to do it when the pandemic is over.

Asked about what his favourite moment as a Yellow fan is, he explains that it was winning the UEFA Europa League last season. He also added that his favourite player in the club’s history is Juan Román Riquelme: “The way he controlled the ball was out of this world. His vision, his call control and his shooting can never be equalled,” he concluded.
