The young defender will continue growing alongside Villarreal Women
Villarreal CF and Irene Miguélez Martínez (05/07/2004, Castellón) have reached an agreement for the footballer to continue to represent the Yellows for the next two seasons. The youngster will stay tied to the club until 30th June 2024.
Irene Miguélez joined Villarreal Women in the 2017/18 season, and continued her growth until taking the step up to the first team last season. In the 2021/22 Primera Iberdrola season, the centre-back played a total of 16 matches, starting 14 of them.
Miguélez is the fourth player confirmed to be part of Sara Monforte’s squad in Primera Iberdrola for the 2022/23 season in the Primera Iberdrola. Tere Morató, who previously signed a contract renewal earlier this year, and Sheila Guijarro and Lara Mata, who already had contracts for next season, join the defender.
