Miguel Álvarez highlighted that Valencia Mestalla is a courageous team with lots of quality players

Villarreal B manager, Miguel Álvarez, appeared in front of the media this afternoon to analyse the upcoming league tie against Valencia Mestalla (Sunday, 11:30am): “40 very promising players will go head to head from two of the best academies in Spain. Many young players with great futures ahead of them. I think we’ll see a really attractive game of football from two sides that want to keep possession with a very similar approach.”

The Mini Submarine go into the battle of the reserve sides after picking up an excellent win against CD Alcoyano (3-0): “The team is on the way up. We put in a great performance against a strong side. We were much better and didn’t give them any options. A win to be proud of.”

Lastly, the Villarreal B boss underlined that, despite his team’s strong start to the league, the main objective for this team is the growth and progression of the players: “We’re focused on the individual development of our players. If they grow, we improve as a team, we will win games and we will be well-positioned in the league table. Development comes first and that is the road to victory.”
