Villarreal B beat Real Madrid Castilla and consolidate their position at the top of the table
Fourth consecutive home win for Villarreal B after beating Real Madrid Castilla 4-1. The ‘groguets’ overcame an early goal from the visitors and ended up being an attacking avalanche. With the support of the fans at the Mini Estadi, the ‘groguet’ B team is more alive than ever in the fight for first place.
The game started very open, with both teams trying to carry the weight of the match. It was Castilla who took the lead after 12 minutes with a goal from Dotor. It took only nine minutes for the Mini Submarine to draw level with a goal by Pacheco. The 2-1 would come in the 39th minute through a low shot by Álex Forés. The game went to the break after a spectacular save by Iker on the goal line.
In the second half, Villarreal B were a hurricane that swept through the Madrid B team. After a magnificent combination in the opposition half, Migue Leal finished the play with a shot across goal to make it 3-1 in the 53rd minute. 15 minutes later, the fourth and final goal for the ‘groguets’ came from a counter-attack finished by Alex Forés. Villarreal B’s next game will be against Castellón next Saturday at 5pm CEST.
