The Villarreal head coach highlighted the impressive level of his players after yesterday’s win over Real Sociedad (2-0) at the Mini Estadi, which was the fourth pre-season match. “The team put in a good performance generally, with a lot of big players in the first half. We’re feeling good and we need to continue working like this,” he explained.
For the Basque manager, the hard work has paid off as “we’ve used a number of ways of playing with youngsters who have been getting up to speed.” He added: “The important players are getting match fitness and those who can have progressive importance are getting minutes and are gaining confidence.”
