They’re an opponent who demand a lot from you. They made us defend a lot more and a lot deeper than usual.”
Emery was frustrated that his side couldn’t kill the game off, but recognised that a draw was a fair result: “In the first half, we let them have chances where they could have equalised. We were more solid in the second half, but we didn’t know how to kill off the game. When the games are like that one was, they can equalise from anything. It’s a shame that the away team’s goal came so late on, but it’s a fair result.”
