The Villarreal B team have found out who their final obstacle will be in their effort to win promotion to LaLiga 123 (Spanish Second Division). The Yellows Reserves will face Elche CF in the third and final play-off tie. The first leg will be played at the Martínez Valero stadium this Saturday at 6:30pm and the return leg at the Mini Estadi (both matches will be televised live on beIn Sports). The other final will be disputed by Cartagena and Extremadura.
The Mini Submarine have reached this final round of the play-offs after knocking out Bilbao Athletic and Fuenlabrada, while Elche have beaten Real Murcia and Real Sporting de Gijón B to reach this stage.
Villarreal B and Elche have already played each other twice this season, as both compete in Group III of the Second Division B. Both matches finished in a 0-0 draw. The side from Alicante finished in third place in the league, just two points behind Villarreal B, who finished second.
