The Yellows advance to the quarter-finals of the Copa de la Reina
The Royal Spanish Football Federation’s Competition Committee (Comité de Competición de la Real Federación Española de Fútbol) has upheld the appeal lodged by Villarreal CF after ineligible Sevilla player Nagore Calderón Rodríguez played in the match corresponding to the round of 16 of the Copa de la Reina, which ended in a 0-1 result in favour of the Andalusian side.
The Competition Committee’s ruling awarded the victory to Villarreal Women, who will be in the draw for the quarter-finals of the cup competition.
