The midfielder is the footballer who has played the most minutes for the Yellows this season

Dani Parejo is a very important player for Unai Emery. The midfielder has played 51 games and a tota of 4,075 minutes, and is the Villarreal player to have been on the pitch for the most time so far this current season.

Against Sevilla, Parejo once more put in an impressive performance .He played 82 minutes, touching the ball on 70 occasions. He had a magnificent 92% passing accuracy and also provided the assist for Villarreal’s first game against the Andalusian side.

For Parejo, the Submarine were better than a very good Sevilla side: “It was a very difficult side against a team that makes things hard for you, despite the convincing result. The team went into the game on the back of a tough game in Valladolid, both mentally and physically. We knew how to capitalise on our moments. We went into the break 1-0 up. We scored another goal at the start of the second half, and after the sending off, we were the superior side.”

On a personal level, the Yellows No.5 underlined his satisfaction at the important role he has in the team: “I’m very happy. All of us like to play. I feel like I’m trusted and I feel important on and off the pitch. I’m trying to give everything possible for the benefit of the club.”
