Francis Coquelin underlined the team’s good defensive work in their knockout tie against Girona FC
Yellows midfielder Francis Coquelin appeared in front of the Villarreal TV microphones to analyse the Copa del Rey Round of 16 victory against Girona FC (0-1) at Montilivi: “Games are always difficult in the Copa del Rey. We started the match well, but they pushed us more in the second half. In the Copa del Rey, we need to dig in.”
For the Yellows No.19, a crucial part of the victory was the side’s hard work defensively: “We were unable to score the second goal, but I think we controlled the game. The defence dealt with the crosses from out wide well.”
