The Mini Submarine took the lead through Lanchi’s goal, but Fabricio equalised
Villarreal B came away a valuable draw at the Ciutat de València after an agonising finale in which they were able to suffer. Lanchi gave Miguel Álvarez’s side the lead in a crazy few minutes, but the home side managed to draw level.
The Mini Submarine were very solid throughout the first half and Levante were unable to cause any danger near the goal of Iker Álvarez, who saved a shot from the edge of the area with his first save after 20 minutes.
However, at the start of the second half, the Granotas did try to surprise from the first move. Bouldini, a few minutes later, hit the back of the net, but VAR disallowed his goal for offside. It was here that the madness began. Miguel Álvarez introduced a triple substitution with Forés, Ontiveros and Rodri and after a minute Lanchi managed to put the Yellows ahead.
When Miguel Álvarez’s men were at their best, Fabricio headed in the equaliser. Levante were on top, but the B team knew how to suffer and hold on in the final stages of the game to salvage a point in a tough stadium against a team that is expected to be at the top of the table.
The Mini Submarine’s next league fixture will take place next Monday at 9pm CEST at the Estadio de la Cerámica against RCD Espanyol.
