Unai Emery says that against Almería “we all have to be José Manuel Llaneza”

Villarreal CF head coach Unai Emery said this afternoon that tomorrow’s game against UD Almería (Ciutat de València, 6.30pm) will be very special and that the Yellows will be looking for a victory to dedicate to José Manuel Llaneza: “It’s a tribute that we have to feel. The match will be his for everything he has done for Villarreal and what his departure means for everyone. Tomorrow we all have to be José Manuel Llaneza”.

The team is in good shape for the game. “The players are fine. We are still looking for balance despite playing a lot of away games. At home the team is magnificent and we are aware that we are strong in front of our fans,” commented Emery.

To conclude, the Basque manager acknowledged that it will be no easy task to overcome Almería: “Almería are performing better at home than away, but they are a good team. They have replaced Sadiq’s absence with young players and Rubí has experience. It will be a difficult match and at the same time a special one for me”.
