An opportunity to seal a place in the fight for Europe
“Every week there are fewer games left in LaLiga. Sunday’s win put us in a good place to reach the European spots. Against Alavés, we need to build on our last win. Real Betis and Real Sociedad are strong rivals. They’re showing an important consistency.”
A Deportivo Alavés side in good form
“We’re going with the idea of finding the best team possible to compete and adapt to an Alavés side who go into the game in good form. They’re confident after drawing in Bilbao and beating Huesca. They need to get a win too.”

“We’re expecting a game against a team that need to win. They are going to try and stop us from playing how we want to. We will need to put in a complete performance to get the three points.”
The Super League isn’t the solution

Villarreal’s position and my position is that we’re against it. We need to find solutions working together, not those of only a few. The Super League is a big risk for football and for sport. We can’t forget that football is feeling. We need everyone to make this sport a big sport.”
