The competition gets underway in the build-up to the clash with Real Valladolid

The excitement of the ‘3v3 Groguet’ tournament is back! The main square outside the Estadio de la Cerámica will, for the second consecutive year, host this fun competition, which will start in the build-up to the league clash with Real Valladolid (Sunday, 4:15pm).

The ‘3v3 Groguet’ tournament will once again be one of the main attractions in the Fan Zone in the build-up to Villarreal matches at the Estadio de la Cerámica. Once more, the competition will involve teams of U9s and younger from clubs with agreements with Villarreal. The first match will involve Burriana Fútbol Base, CD Betxí, and CF United Vinarós.

As well as enjoying their favourite sport outside one of the coliseums of Spanish football, participants will receive a ‘3v3 Groguet’ tournament t-shirt, a snack to regain lost energy and a free match ticket for the Yellow Submarine match. Family members can get tickets for only five Euros. What’s more, the daily champions will receive their medals and go on to the pitch at La Cerámica to be photographed with the Villarreal starting line-up, and will be entered into a draw for a trip to accompany the Yellows on an away league match.

As if that wasn’t enough, the winning teams from each weekend will compete in a weekend of winners, where the victorious side from each day will have the chance to be crown overall champion. This will take place at the Estadio de la Cerámica during half-time of a first-team game.

To get the new ‘3v3 Groguet’ tournament underway, Marcos Senna played a small game in the training ground (Ciudad Deportiva) with young prospects from Platges de Moncofa, who won the U7 (prebenjamín) tournament last season.
