The Cameroonian midfielder arrives from Fulham FC on loan with an option to buy

Villarreal CF and Fulham FC have reached an agreement for the loan of Cameroonian midfielder André-Frank Zambo Anguissa, who will play for the Submarine for the 2019/20 season. The agreement includes a purchase option once the season is over.

Zambo Anguissa (Yaoundé, 16/11/95) strengthens Villarreal in the middle of the pitch. Aged 23, the Cameroonian is a magnificent midfielder (he is 1.84m tall) who recently took part in the Africa Cup of Nations alongside Yellows forward Karl Toko Ekambi, with his side falling in the Round of 16 against Samu Chukwueze’s Nigeria. The new Villarreal midfielder has played 15 matches for his country, scoring twice.

Zambo Anguissa started his career at Coton Sport in his homeland. In 2013/14 he left the Cameroonian side to play in the youth ranks of Stade de Reims in France. In 2015 he signed for Olympique Marseille and made his first-team debut on 20th September 2015 in a Ligue 1 game against Olympique de Lyon. During the 2016/17 season he excelled for Marseille before signing for English side Fulham last season, where he played 25 games.

Welcome to the Submarine!
