The Venezuelan defender will stay at Villarreal for another year
Villarreal CF and Yenifer Giménez Gamboa (03/05/1996, Barquisimeto, Venezuela) have reached an agreement for the Venezuelan defender to stay with Villarreal Women for the upcoming season. She will continue tied to Villarreal CF on 30th June 2023.
The Venezuelan defender joined the Yellows in 2020/21, helping the team as they were promoted to Primera Iberdrola. In the 2021/22 season, she showed her worth in top flight, playing in 14 games, of which she started 12.
Giménez is the eight Villarreal Women player to form part of Sara Monforte’s 2022/23 squad, alongside Tere Morató, Sheila Guijarro, Lara Mata, Irene Miguélez, Vera Rico, Elena de Toro and Belén Martínez.
