The left back returned to play in Monaco after coming back from a muscular injury

Jaume Costa has been down this road before. At midday today, the Yellows left back assured that both he and his teammates know that the best way to get over their elimination in the Champions League is by winning matches. The team’s next opponent is Sevilla at El Madrigal stadium (Sunday, 10:15pm CET). “We’re frustrated because we were so excited to be in a competition like the Champions Legaue. In fact, I’ve never played in the Champions League. But our opportunity has passed and from now on we have to focus on our next matches. Our next game against Sevilla is very important to take us in to the league break knowing that we are a great team. We want to get the three points so we can look at the season ahead in the most positive light, although we already know we are going to have a great season”, he commented.

For the defender, the arrival of Fran Esribá will bring new concepts to the team: “We have some very good concepts that we must not lose, as we’ve been competing at the highest level for several years. From now, everything the new manager can teach us is welcome. Every manager is different and has different concepts. We are going to try to play well and make our game enjoyable for the fans”.

With regard to this weekend’s rival, the Yellows number 11 warns against Sevilla’s strength: “Vietto is a good friend and I’m glad he has started so well. We know that Sevilla are a great team that always makes things difficult, but last season we beat them at El Madrigal”.

Lastly, Jaume Costa said that he feels good after coming back from a micro muscle fibre tear in his left hamstring: “I felt good. And I’ve felt good for a while now. Last year I had problems with my ankle, but now I want to be at 100% to be able to work hard and be there when the manager needs me”.
