Sara Monforte has underlined that Villarreal Women will need to defend well and make it difficult for FC Barcelona (Sunday, 5pm CEST)
Villarreal Women head coach Sara Monforte appeared in front of the media for the pre-match press conference against FC Barcelona, corresponding to Matchday 3 of the 2022/23 Liga F season. The match will take place on Sunday 25th September at 5pm CEST at the Mini Estadi.

“We are satisfied with the work we did, the team is getting better and better and you can see the difference between how we competed last year in Zubieta and what we did this year. The team is doing very well. We knew that the start wasn’t easy, but mentally we’re strong.”
A great rival
“Ellas tienen un juego posicional muy bueno, es el equipo que mejor lo ejecuta. Tienen dos bajas importantes como la de Aitana y Alexia, pero estará Mariona, Patri… Es un equipo que ataca muy buen los espacios y juegan a un ritmo muy alto”.

“We have to believe. We have to be ready in case they don’t have a good day. The problem would be if they have a bad day and we’re not prepared. We know we’re playing against the best team in the world, but they might not be on form. This is not a journey of five or ten games, it’s a long journey which we have to take it step by step.”
