Álex Baena underlined that beating Hapoel Be’er Sheva at their stadium will not be easy
Villarreal CF player Álex Baena, together with Unai Emery, appeared in front of the media at the press conference ahead of the match against Hapoel Be’er Sheva, corresponding to Matchday 2 of the UEFA Europa Conference League group stage, which will be played tomorrow at the Turner Stadium, starting at 9pm CEST.
Assessment of the match
“After the win against Lech Poznan in the first game, which was very important for us because of the way it happened, it will be vital to win away from home. Against Betis we played a good game, but we didn’t manage it and winning this game can help us to face this weekend’s game against Sevilla with a better taste in our mouths.”
The opposition
“If they are playing in European competition it means they are a great team. We have to finish analysing them, but I’m sure they’ll make things very difficult for us.”
His level
“I’m comfortable, I’m getting on better with my teammates and I’m happy to help the team with goals. In the team we are all starters and it’s the coach who decides, but we have to be ready to play in any game and add to the team, which is the most important thing. On a personal level, I hope to keep working to continue my good form.”
Keys to the game
“Against Hapoel Be’er Sheva we have to be ourselves and play the way we have been playing since pre-season, being solid in defence and effective in attack.”
