Unai Emery emphasised that Villarreal dominated and didn’t conceded chances

Villarreal manager Unai Emery analysed his side’s draw against Cádiz at the Estadio Ramón de Carranza (0-0). The Yellows boss praised his team’s performance, despite not managing to get the win: “We did a good job, but the point is not enough. We knew how to control the game in terms of possession, and long spells of it and we didn’t rush. In defence we were solid and we didn’t concede chances.”

For the Villarreal boss, the Submarine continue to improve in their play and the performance against Cádiz is proof of that: “We have improved in many apects and I see things that I like. We wanted to win. I think the point is unsatisfactory, but we have to value it positively because of the work we’ve put in and the opponent we had in front of us. Perhaps we lacked some effectiveness to get the win.”
