Pacha Lara, Chile international, a luxury reinforcement for Sara Monforte’s side
Villarreal CF has reached an agreement with Chilean centre-back Pancha Lara, who will play for Villarreal Women for the upcoming 2021/22 season. The footballer arrives as a free agent after playing last season with Havre Athletic Club in Division 1 Féminine (the top flight in France).
Pancha Lara is the ninth summer signing for Sara Monforte’s side, after the arrivals of Nerea Pérez, Tere Morató, Pamela Tajonar, Raquel Pinel, Zaïra Flores, Paola Soldevila, Estefa Lima and Ainoa Campo.
Commitment and experience for the Yellows
Francisca Lara Lara (29/07/1990) is a player with experience, commitment and physical strength. She is left-footed and links well with attack, and can even play further forward, and is strong on one-on-ones.
The Chilean defender started her professional career in Chile with Cobreloa, and then in Colo-Colo, a team with which she won the Copa Libertadores in 2012. In the 2017/18, she went to Spain with Sporting Huelva, before joining Sevilla. She has also represented her country at international level, in the Pan-American games, and the Copa América. She is currently with the Chilean international side ahead of the Olympic Games in Tokyo and will join her new team-mates after she returns from Japan.
