Villarreal played well but lost against FC Barcelona at El Madrigal stadium
Villarreal suffered the season’s first defeat (0-1) against FC Barcelona at El Madrigal stadium. The Catalan side had to play their best game in order to secure the three points against Marcelino’s men, who played an outstanding match in front of some of the football world’s best. The Yellows showed a very consistent defensive line and created several chances but the “Red and Blues” managed to take advantage of an assist by Messi to Sandro to score the night’s only goal and win the match.
