Villarreal CF will once again support the Trinidad Alfonso Valencia Marathon, which will celebrate a special edition on 4th December. The 42nd edition of the legendary 42-kilometre distance, under the slogan ‘Marathon of Marathons’.

The main elite sports clubs in the Region of Valencia have joined forces once again this year in an act of support for the Trinidad Alfonso Valencia Marathon. The twinning, which once again took place at the ‘All in One’ branch of CaixaBank, the official sponsor of the race, welcomed the Marathon family with the presence of the CEO of Villarreal CF, Fernando Roig Negueroles; Felipe Pulido, commercial director of CaixaBank Companies in the Region of Valencia; the president of Levante UD, Quico Catalán; the corporate director of Valencia CF, Javier Solís; and the director of Institutional Relations of Valencia Basket, Víctor Luengo. Vicente Sanz, vice-president of SD Correcaminos, organiser of the race together with the Valencia City Council, was in charge of staging this meeting.

Fernando Roig Negueroles wished_ “good luck to all the runners and the organisers so that everything goes very well in the race”. “Luckily, the Valencia Marathon no longer needs any to be one of the most important events in the world”, he added.

As a symbol of this twinning, the four clubs exchanged personalised T-shirts with the name of the race, and each club also received a poster from SD Correcaminos with the legend that accompanies this year’s slogan: “Alone we could have done a marathon, but together we are going to organise a whole marathon of marathons.”

In addition, CaixaBank, which manages to be one of the most numerous clubs every year thanks to the participation of the RunnersCaixaBank, which brings together the employees of the financial institution, has also received recognition from the Valencia Marathon.
