The captains, Unai Emery, and members of the board have visited the Mare de Déu de Gràcia and Sant Pasqual with the Europa League trophy
Villarreal CF this Wednesday carried out their traditional offering to the patron saints of the town. An act of faith which the club always carries out at the start of each season. President Fernando Roig and vice-president José Manuel Llaneza, accompanied by members of the board, attended the event, alongside Villarreal head coach Unai Emery, and the team’s five captains: Mario Gaspar, Vicente Iborra, Raúl Albiol, Manu Trigueros and Gerard Moreno.
The whole group visited the Mare de Déu de Gràcia chapel, and the Sant Pasqual basilica. José Benlloch, Vila-real mayor, and deputy mayor Silvia Gómez, as well as other members of the Vila-real council, who accompanied the representatives from the club.
This year, the team also offered the Europa League trophy to the patron saints. Villarreal CF wanted to involve the whole town of Vila-real in the continental title won on 26th May in Gdansk.
