The club has donated 5,000 Euros to the provincial branch of the Spanish Association Against Cancer
Giving something back. Villarreal CF vice-president José Manuel Llaneza this morning handed over a cheque worth 5,000 Euros to the provincial branch of the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) to help the fight against breast cancer. The money is 20% of the funds raised this season just finished with the sales of the pink away kit. The fundraising campaign started in mid-October 2018. Villarreal joined the campaigning on World Breast Cancer Day and these 5,000 Euros are the result of that.
The handing over of the cheque took place at the Villarreal CF Training Ground, with Llaneza; AECC provincial branch president Carlos Camahort, Salomé Esteller, head co-ordinator of the AECC Provincial branch; and Cristina de Maya, psychologist at AECC, all present.
