Carlos Pérez Salvachúa will have a young squad with great ambition at his disposal
The Villarreal C team will kick start their season this Saturday at the home ground of Alzira (7:30pm CET), aiming to put in another great performance in Group VI of the Tercera División (Third Division) this campaign. The team will once again be led by Carlos Pérez Salvachúa and there are a lot of new faces, many of whom come from the U19 A team who were champions of Group VII of the División de Honor (Honour Division) last season.
Two players have come from outside of the club to strengthen the squad. These are Argentinean goalkeeper Federico Bonansea, on loan from Atlético Belgrano, and Ukranian midfielder Oleksii Hutsuliak, on loan from Karpaty. It should be noted that there are many players with C team status who will train and compete with the Villarreal B team.
The Villarreal C squad for the 2016/17 is made up of the following players:
- Goalkeepers: Federico Bonansea and Diego.
- Defenders: Migue, Pau, Miguelón, Arnau, Sena, Genís, Maldonado and Nani.
- Midfielders: Pablo Álvarez, Maxi Rosales, Morlanes, Beli, Oleksii Hutsuliak, Chuca, Pedrito, Martín Arenas and Akale.
- Strikers: Chepe, Nicola, Darío and Simón.
