The Mini Submarine fight back after Ejea’s opener, winning thanks to Collado, Ramón Bueno and Edu Espiau goals
Villarreal B got their second win in a row after beating SD Ejea 3-1. The Yellows had to fight back after an early Manu Molina goal, but with patience, intensity, and good play, they were able to do so. The Yellows’ goals came from Diego Collado, Ramón Bueno and Edu Espiau.
The match was full of excitement in a tight first half. Villarreal B lined up offensively, which was tested early on after Ejea’s goal in the fourth minute. Molina won a ball in the middle of the pitch and drove to the edge of the area to beat Diego Fuoli with a dangerous shot (0-1).
The Yellows kept focused on the match, although there were a few moments when the away side made the most of being on the up after scoring to create goalscoring chances. They were unable to find the back of the net again though, and instead it was Villarreal B who did so, through Diego Collado. The young attacker beat the goalkeeper with a powerful left-footed effort from inside the box (1-1, m.27). Minutes later, after a corner, Collado scored once more, but it was ruled out for a foul by Sofian Chakla in the build-up.
The second half started with Villarreal B fired up. It was 2-1 with 52 minutes on the clock. After a great piece of team play, Migue Leal’s cross was converted by Bueno.
The game started to head in favour of the Yellows in the 66th minute, when Tena was sent off for a second yellow card. Villarreal B had a number of chances to increase their lead, and did so in the 76th minute through Espiau, after an Álex Baena through pass. Espiau rounded the keeper to score calmly (3-1, m.76).
